Dr. Cathy Lund graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988, and has been practicing in the twin cities metro area since.
In 2006, Cathy opened Animal Wellness Center, to provide holistic options for treating medical and behavioral issues in dogs and cats, as well as maintaining wellness in healthy animals. Holistic medicine views the patient as a whole body, rather than a sum of parts. Our goal is to treat the root problem and ease your pet back into a healthier state.
Cathy has studied and practices Chinese herbal medicine, nutrition, flower essences, homeopathy, essential oils, and gemmotherapy. On occasion, Western medical treatments may be needed (often short term) to provide your animal friend with the best quality of life. Working from a full service animal hospital, Dr. Lund also has access to diagnostic tools such as labwork and Xray.
Cathy lives with her husband, kids and pets on an acreage in Lakeville. She likes to spend her free time in the garden, hiking and scrapbooking.
Dr. Lund is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Botanical Medical Association.
